Medical Disclaimer

The information on SpineClarity is provided for general educational purposes only. It is intended to help patients understand spine anatomy, MRI terminology, common conditions, and treatment options in plain language. It is not medical advice.

Not a substitute for professional care

Nothing on this site should be used to diagnose or treat a health problem or disease, or as a substitute for consulting a licensed healthcare professional. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified provider with any questions you have about a medical condition, your imaging, or your treatment options. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read here.

No doctor–patient relationship

Reading this content, contacting us, or submitting information for general review does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Educational content and general case-review support are not the same as an in-person evaluation, and they do not include emergency care.

When to seek urgent care

Some spine symptoms need prompt medical attention. Seek urgent or emergency care if you have new or worsening weakness, numbness in the groin or inner thighs (saddle numbness), loss of bowel or bladder control, fever with severe spine pain, severe pain after a fall or accident, or rapidly progressing neurological symptoms.

Accuracy and currency

We try to base our content on current evidence and to describe uncertain findings honestly — often as associations rather than proof. Medicine evolves, individual situations differ, and we cannot guarantee that every page is complete, current, or applicable to your specific case. References to published studies (including PubMed-indexed research) are provided for transparency and do not imply that any particular treatment is right for you.
